Refunds will be made by the original method of payment.

We believe in the quality of our products and will correct any manufacturing defaults during the first 12 months. A ring will not be considered to have a manufacturing default if it shows scratches more quickly than anticipated, with no exceptions. Even the toughest metals may show wear and tear from contact with everyday objects.
We strongly advise you to insure all high-value items, especially those with diamonds. We will not replace a dislodged or lost diamond free of charge, unless it happens within the first three months of the date we dispatched the item.
Your guarantee and 7 days returns policy is invalidated if you allow a third party to resize or otherwise work on a piece of jewellery purchased through The Jewellery Cottage.
All of our relevant jewellery is hallmarked by an independent British Assay Office.
As all our rings are made to order they will take between 7-10 days. If for any reason there is a delay we will contact you to make you aware of this.
We use the Royal Mail Special Delivery (next day) service which means that items sent by us are fully insured until delivered and signed for. After that they are the customer’s responsibility.
When booking you will need at least 8 weeks prior to your wedding to make sure that there is plenty of time to get the rings hallmarked or 10 weeks if you would like engraving or stones set.
To book a £50 non-refundable deposit is payable.
The outstanding balance must be paid in full at least 14 days before the date you have booked. Your raw materials will not be purchased until your balance has been paid, therefore, if payment is late it may mean needing to postpone your day.
In the unlikely event The Jewellery Cottage would need to rearrange your day Mark will notify you as soon as possible and rearrange it for the soonest available date to suit you.
On the day you will need to wear sensible clothing and flat closed toe shoes. Long hair must be tied back.
No children or spectators (with the exception of your partner when only one person is making the ring) are permitted in the workshop.
The cost of your rings including any engraving, stones and setting must be paid for on the day either by cash or credit/debit card.
Your rings will need to be sent to the Assay Office after they have been made to be hallmarked, this is a legal requirement and means that you will not be able to take your rings away on the day.
